AMPLY deploys and operates EV chargers the way data centers operate server blades – lots of them at a time, with high efficiency, low cost, and 99.99% uptime. We serve public sector and commercial businesses with fleet vehicles – electric buses, trucks, and passenger fleets. AMPLY Power is focused on transforming the commercial transportation sector by removing the challenges, surprises, and learning curves that fleet operators often face when switching to electricity as a fuel.
This is an outstanding opportunity to get broad exposure and provide a significant impact in managing and growing many aspects of our highly innovative charging as a service business. We are currently seeking a Sales Associate to support our organization’s growing business. Our Sales Associate will be responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities, understanding customer needs and requirements, and will play a fundamental role in achieving our revenue growth objectives. This role is for a proven inside sales professional looking to transition to outside sales OR manage and grow an inside sales team in 12-18 months. Monthly and quarterly goals will be clearly defined and supported by all business units at AMPLY. The successful candidate will be exposed to all aspects of the business, mentored by senior sales members and will participate in field sales and marketing opportunities and events, as well as active customer deployments.
Responsibilities
- High volume of daily and weekly outbound calls and emails to targeted accounts
- Prospecting research through social media, membership organizations, trade publications, as well as developing new avenues for identifying near term opportunities
- Meticulous note taking within CRM and other internal tools
- Actively participate in forecast discussions and find creative ways to progress and win deals
- Move prospects from early sales stages; 10%- lead, 20%- qualified, through proposal delivery stage
- Balance general market interest and informational opportunities by confidently qualifying (or disqualifying) prospects that have near term goals, budget and determined schedules that align with AMPLY revenue targets
- Develop feasibility study, site design, financial and operational analysis and proposals
- Represent the Sales team at AMPLY Power proudly and professionally
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of inside sales experience
- Track record of committed employment with one or two companies recently
- Minimum of 3 years of selling electricity based products and services (renewables, ESCOs, EV charging, etc)
- Minimum of 2 years selling to public sector accounts including municipalities, city and county governments.
- Must demonstrate, during interview process, strong skills with MS Excel, Powerpoint and Salesforce.com
- Self- starter, no fear of rejection, and thrive in a fast paced, competitive environment
- Be able to immediately establish trust, rapport and maintain an honest dialogue with co-workers, industry partners and future customers
- Proven interest in professional or personal settings for environmental sustainability
About AMPLY Power
In a high-powered application like vehicle fast charging, the difference between controlled, optimally balanced vs unrestrained EV charging could be 3x in cost from your local utility. Even more importantly, EV fleets, in particular when part of critical and close to real time business processes (for example in autonomous fleets) need to be scheduled for charging in specific time intervals. By taking control of the utility meter, optimizing EV charge rate and vehicle process flow, AMPLY Power provides the lowest cost of electric fueling possible in a given depot location or in-route stops.—
Our approach is to offer charging as a service, which is unique in the industry. We offer our customers a per mile driven usage rate. AMPLY Power provides the bulk of the upfront capital expenditures associated with the charging platform.
